Somerset Men’s Rugby: A Hard-Fought Battle Against Lancashire

Somerset’s Men’s team put in a spirited and determined performance on Saturday but were narrowly edged out by a strong Lancashire side, with the final score ending 17–24.

It was a fiercely contested match from start to finish, with both sides showing grit and ambition. Despite Somerset’s relentless effort and moments of real quality, it just wasn’t to be on this occasion. The lads can hold their heads high after giving everything on the pitch.

Attention now turns to the next challenge as the team travels to Hull Ionians RFC on Friday. Preparations are already underway for Saturday’s clash against Yorkshire RFU, with kick-off set for 2.30pm.

It’s another big test—but one the squad is ready to rise to.
