As an England RFU Constituent Body, Somerset Rugby administers the game of rugby within Somerset in accordance with the World Rugby Regulations and Laws of the Union.

The five core values, identified and adopted by the game to embody the way in which the game is played, are administered and supported at all levels, up to and including the national teams and RFU staff. As a CB, Somerset Rugby acknowledge the importance of promoting the Core Values to our clubs, schools and colleges.

Somerset Rugby aims to retain and further develop a strong and vibrant rugby community within Somerset founded upon the RFU core purpose for the game.

There are many ways to play Rugby Union in Somerset, find what is right for you, and your nearest playing opportunity.

Kids First Tag Rugby

For children under the age of 11, Kids First Tag Rugby is available to get them started on their rugby journey.

Age Grade Rugby

For all players aged 6 – 18 in clubs, schools, colleges and within the representative pathway.

Non-Contact

If you are new to the sport there are introductory, and non-contact options, such as The Touch Union, Walking Rugby and XRugby.
